About

The general framework of this platform is based on the textbook "Modern Elementary Statistics", combined with the keypoints and examples in the book. The platform is developed using R package: Shiny.

The goals of this platform are developing a dynamic, interrative platform trying to help students to better understand statistical ideas and providing convenience for statistical teaching. By logging into this online platform, teachers can select the tools that need to be explained according to the actual situation of teaching, combine with the examples from the textbook, and assist teaching with vivid dynamic interactive statistical diagrams to help students deeply understand randomness and related important statistical ideas.

Data Visualization

Big data visualization, such as dynamic plot of spatial data, take Covid-19 data as example

Card image

Confidence Interval

Dynamic demonstration of interval estimation, i.e., the change in confidence intervals of the overall mean and overall proportion with different samples the significance of the confidence level

Linear Regression

Explore the correlation between variables, including how correlation coefficients and regression equations change with changes in data distribution

Hypothesis Testing

Interative plot for identifing the p-values, Type I and Type II errors, and test efficacy

Analysis of Variance

One-way ANOVA to test for differences among the means of several populations(also referred to as "groups")
